Mr & Mrs C. Hertfordshire. June 2025

We had a great sunny 4-day stay at this holiday chalet. It was very easy to find, thanks to the clear and timely instructions provided before arrival. The chalet was spotlessly clean, tidy, and well-equipped—ideal for a short break.

Each morning began with coffee out front, soaking up the sunshine. The location is excellent: a beautiful, sandy beach lies just across the road—perfect for families or couples looking to relax. A well-stocked local shop is conveniently located next to the site and seemed to be open all hours. There's also a handy fish and chip shop almost next door.

We enjoyed a scenic circular walk heading south along the coast to the hamlet of Ostend, returning inland with picturesque views of the church across the fields.

The chalet would suit families, with an open grassy area in front, but as a more mature couple, we found it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Highlights of our trip included:

  • Wroxham (about 20 minutes by car): We found 4 hours of free parking at Roy's medium-stay car park. Roy's is an independent department store with a food hall and garden centre—refreshing to see a local business still thriving after 130 years. We enjoyed coffee and cake at the Riverside Tea Room while watching the boats go by on the Broads. Several walk options are available from here.

  • East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden (2.8 miles away): Highly recommended for a sunny day with a book—you could easily spend the whole day here. The 22-acre garden is divided into beautifully varied themed 'rooms'. There’s also a charming tea room serving light lunches until around 2pm. While the entry fee may seem a little steep, it's excellent value—one of the best gardens we’ve visited. Be sure to follow the map in numerical order to avoid missing sections.

  • Hoveton Hall Gardens (10 miles away): A smaller but lovely garden ideal for a gentle stroll. We had a delicious lunch in the tea room and also visited the unusual thatched St Peter’s Church next door, dating from 1624.

  • Blickling Hall (about 30 minutes away, National Trust): Formerly home to Anne Boleyn’s family, this Jacobean-style estate is grand and atmospheric. You'll want most of a day to explore the house and enjoy the recommended walks on the grounds.

Overall, the chalet was a perfect base for our mini-adventure. We packed a lot into our 4 days and would love to return to explore even more.

Mr & Mrs R. Kent. June 2025

We were very impressed by the previous reviews for this holiday chalet and totally agree with all the comments.
It was bright, clean and welcoming with attractive seaside  touches. There were generous supplies of tea, coffee etc and all the necessary household items so there is need to bring any toilet paper, cleaning products etc. There were even a couple of laundry capsules and lines outside. We appreciated the non slip mat in the bath.
We were especially pleased to find good quality comfortable beds and bedding.
There was plenty of storage, books, games and children’s DVD’s. The tv was modern and easy to use. We liked the sofas too, everything has been well thought out to make this a relaxing place.
The kitchen was well equipped and the spotless appliances were easy to use.
This is a great area for walking, very peaceful and only 5 minutes from the sandy beach and the well equipped  shop.
We had a good meal in the Lighthouse Inn nearby.
It was a very enjoyable short break and we would definitely stay here again.

Airbnb Review April 2025

This was a lovely stay!
The accommodation was in a very quiet location and just a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Also very close to a shop and a chip shop. The living space was very clean and tidy, with heating throughout, so even on the colder night, the bedroom was warm and snuggly. It was well equipped and very reasonably priced.
The only downside to our holiday here was that we didn’t book long enough!

Our first review, from Mrs W. Northamptonshire. March 2025

The booking process for Seafields was very straightforward and easy to do. The hosts were quick to respond and extremely helpful. The directions we received to locate and access the chalet were perfect.

Walcott Caravan and Chalet Park is a delightful small site on the coast road and right opposite the beach. Walcott General Stores is next door and sells an impressive range of goods.  Driving onto the site we were impressed with how neat and well-kept the units, grounds, car park and rubbish bin area were. Seafields is just a moments walk from the car park which made unloading the car easy.

Entering the chalet we were delighted to find a spotlessly clean, very comfortably furnished, light, open plan area with a glorious seaside feel to it. The soft furnishings, decorations and prints of local seaside resorts all contribute to the seaside vibe. Our hosts had thoughtfully provided a selection of teas, coffee, sugar, UHT milk and biscuits which were very welcome. The two bedrooms and bathroom were also spotless and welcoming.

A visitor’s information folder contained excellent guidance for operating appliances within the chalet and instructions for dealing with rubbish, used towels and bedding upon departure. This was all very clear and in no way felt demanding, just really helpful.

Another folder in a drawer held up to date leaflets from various places of interest to visit. There was definitely something to suit everyone.

The kitchen area, although compact, had everything you would need for five people and space to prepare food.

As we stayed in March the evenings were chilly and we needed to use the electric wall heaters. These were simple to operate and we were surprised at how quickly the chalet became warm and cosy.

The bedrooms were well equipped with plenty of wardrobe space in which we found an iron, ironing board, hairdryer and full length mirror. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and bedside lighting was great.

The morning sun on the front of the chalet provided the perfect opportunity to sit outside at the two seater bistro set with a cuppa. This was very much appreciated.

The location of the chalet is perfect. Two pubs that serve good food within walking distance but take a torch to walk home, a restaurant and fish and chip shop almost next door make holiday catering simple. The glorious, sandy beach and walk along the seawall are so easy to access. The Norfolk Coast Path and various public footpaths are on the doorstep. The night sky above the sea is wonderful. Larger seaside resorts are close by if one feels the need to visit these.

A beautifully appointed chalet in a terrific location with great hosts.
